   About Rachel Ament

 

Rachel Ament s a writer, editor and complainer living in Washington, DC. She has written for The New York Times, Oxygen Magazine, Moment Magazine, AOL, and Mariashriver.com. She was the editor of the book of humor essays Jewish Daughter Diaries: True Stories of Being Loved Too Much by Our Moms, which features writing by The Big Bang Theory's Mayim Bialik and The Daily Show's Jena Friedman. Her writing was also featured in the memoir "Truth of Memoir: How to Write About Yourself and Others with Honesty, Emotion and Integrity," which was published by Writer's Digest Books in 2014. Ament's screenplay "God's Girls," a coming-of-age story about a teenage girl in a Hasidic Jewish community, was a semifinalist in ScreenCraft's Pilot Launch TV Script contest.
